Fiberglass Rocket with Advanced Avionics

Flight data measured with thermistors, a GPS, an accelerometer, a magnetometer, and a gyroscope. The rocket was designed to collect altitude, acceleration, velocity, temperature, and rotation during the flight.

Constructed from a Madcow 54mm Adventurer body and used a custom internal avionics bay. The rocket uses a Featherweight Raven 3 as the main flight computer, an Eggtimer Quark as the back-up flight computer, and the Teensy Data Logger to save sensor data on an SD card. Four flights flown with J425, J453, and J530 motors.

Team of four students building hardware, flight electronics, and analyzing flight data.

High Powered Experimental Rockets

Studied flight dynamics and rockety concepts

Built and launched an L1 rocket for Tripoli certification, currently building an L2 rocket

Underwater Robot

E80 Project using GPS, thermistors, microphones, pressure sensor, and motor PID control

Worked in a team of four students to design, build, and test a robot for underwater audio detection and tracking

Sorting Type Spacing

Team of four students designed a sorting machine in SolidWorks and tested using motion analysis simulation

Final product fabricated from steel using waterjet cutting
